The under mentioned Project Officers of RVM (SSA) are informed that that the State Project Director while reviewing the progress of the State wide survey done by the Anganwadi workers had observed that most of the Children with Special Needs, particularly in the categories of Hearing Impairment, Mental Retardation and Visual Impairment are not attending to the school.Further they are informed that most of the parents particularly parents of mentally challenged children are showing least interest to send their non-school-going CwSN to the RSTC as the child has to stay-back in the centre leaving their parents and home continuously for several days. However the parents prefer to send their children to the centre if such Special Training facility is available on the lines of a Day-care-centre and is located close to their proximity. In view of the above circumstances, it has been decided to start Special Training activity for Mentally Challenged children henceforth in the existing IE Resource Centre in Non-
Residential mode.
Shraddha Centre for Special Education, Shankar Foundation, Hyderabad have came up with independent living based academic curriculum which is proven successful by transforming the total personalities of 150 children with moderate IQ levels. The progress is witnessed and highly appreciated by parents, professionals of the field. At this juncture, they thought of introducing the above mentioned methodologies for intellectually challenged children in rural areas in Telugu language. They would like to join with SSA team to bring out the potentialities of children with special needs. Accordingly they have planned to give training to Inclusive Education Resource Teachers (MR Category) of RVM (SSA).
In this regard, Rajiv Vidya Mission (SSA) has decided to provide a 5 day residential training to 400 Inclusive Education Resource Teachers (MR Category). The training will be in 4 spells @ 100 IERTs in each spell. The 4th spell is commencing from 16.07.2013 at Sannidhi, Mahaveer Institute of Medical Sciences Premises, Vikarabad, Ranga Reddy District by Shraddha Centre for Special Education, Shankar Foundation, Hyderabad.
In view of the above, the Project Officers concerned are requested to depute the IERTs (MR Category) shown in the annexure appended (No substitution will be entertained) to these proceedings from 16.07.2013 for 5 day residential training to Sannidhi, Mahaveer Institute of Medical Sciences Premises, Vikarabad, Ranga Reddy District. They have to report on 15.07.2013 evening at Sannidhi, Mahaveer Institute of Medical Sciences Premises, Vikarabad.
The TA & DA to the participants shall be paid by the respective Project Officers as permexisting norms.
